Raffaella Veroli. Marchigiana by birth, two degrees (in Natural Sciences and in Viticulture and Enology) and a master’s degree (in Bioethics), Raffaella is the mind (and often the arms!) behind the work in the countryside and in the winery. Indeed, it is she who directly oversees the management of the vineyards with the collaboration of agronomist Francesco Tezza and the subsequent stages of grape processing, up to the finished product: the wine in the bottle. “Although I am aware of accepting an important responsibility, I have picked up Franca Maculan’s legacy with a lot of enthusiasm; every day I am committed to cultivating the vineyards and following the winery as she would have done. This is a unique territory, and Franca loved it very much-a love that shines through in the care with which these vineyards were planted and the choice of location, made with the goal of creating wines that could stand out for quality and character.”

Davide Gaeta. Milanese by origin but now an adopted Valpolicellese (like his partner Raffaella Veroli), Davide was the first to visit the estate purchased by Franca and to accept her moral legacy of making great wines from it. A professor of economics at the University of Verona, it was he who conceived the Eleva agricultural company to provide Mrs. Maculan’s legacy with a simple and effective operational tool. “The quality of work that must underlie a great project is the result of a lot of commitment, personal dedication and appropriate skills. It takes passion, organization, skills, work, but also stubbornness, a lot of humility, patience, to carry on a business like this, which was born from the dream of a person who was not even lucky enough to see it accomplished. And above all, respect: for the land and for the man.”

Francesco Tezza and his team. Agricultural technician Francesco Tezza is the person who has been in charge of Eleva’s vineyards from day one. A Valpolicellese doc, he has a deep knowledge of these plants and this land. He is the one who throughout the year carries out all the agricultural practices at the base of a conduction aimed at always obtaining the best possible results compatible with the vintage. With his team (made up of …. ), Francesco not only takes care of the vineyards with passion, but also of the olive trees, always managing to obtain, from one and the other, results of great quality.
